Dear Pastor Rick,

My name is Mikyle Miciano. I am 18 years old and one of the youth pastors at Network Christian ministries, where my dad is the senior pastor. We are located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington state. I am currently attending my last year as a senior at Shorecrest High school. At our school we are required to do what is called a senior project. What that is, is basically the process of a student learning a skill, trade, etc. At first I chose to facilitate an arts show. Showcasing student art, and local seattle artist work. The proceeds would go to the arts department in my school. Unfortunately there is only one fundraiser allowed that benefits our school. That spot was taken by a fellow student. All I wanted to do is to make or do a project that helps some one rather than, learning how to bake a cake or something. That only helps myself. As I brainstormed ideas, I searched the internet for people in need world wide. I found your name attached to the site hivandthechurch.com. I was shocked by what I saw happening not only in Africa and other parts of the world but here in the states as well. Then it hit me. this is it. What I am proposing is to do a concert with a few christian musical artist I know. The revenue from the show will go to the organization known as "World Vision", who has done many works against the fight on HIV/AIDS and many other issues. I am a big fan of world vision myself. Oh and get this the child my family sponsors name is Elvis. Cool right. Here's my problem, a show at this scale of course needs money. You can guess where I am going with this. And I know its a long shot. but frankly as a poor high school student I have to exhaust all my options no matter how drastic and crazy they are. I need your help Pastor Rick. Im just asking as a new and fellow fighter against the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS. Can you provide me with some form of sponsorship. I can provide you with things like a business plan and an up to the date log on money spent, to insure that it all goes to the fund for the creation of this event. The venue, the bands/ artist, the PR. It may seem like a big task for a high school student form a little town in Shoreline Washington. But I assure you that with your help I can do this. I pray to God everyday asking "God what can I do for you to make my life worth your your love". This show is it. "The gig that saved the world". Through the show I hope to not only raise money. but to educate the public about the HIV/AIDS epidemic so that in turn they may have a calling to fight. And hopefully learn about the love God's kingdom has to offer. It only takes one to save the world, one act of random kindness at a time. I would know. Our lord and savior did it. If you have gotten this far in my letter I thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy life to read a high school kids cry for help. Dear Pastor Rick,

Five years ago, I knew nothing about Purpose Driven, Saddleback Church or Rick Warren. Then God opened my eyes to a book entitled The Purpose Driven Church. It changed the way I did ministry and confirmed God's leading in my life.

Today, I travel to India as part of the PD & PEACE Training Group.

It is a great joy and privilege to serve the Lord by serving my fellow pastors in Gujarat State.

In 1979 the Lord called me to full time ministry while on a mission trip to south India. Now, thanks to you and wonderful people like Mike Constantz, Mark Carver, and Katherine Oshiro, I get to return to the county and people I love.

Thank you for being obedient to the Lord and thank you for allowing me to share in your vision.

Dear Pastor Warren,

I watched and heard you on the Today Show on Christmas day. It was very exciting to see God work through you on such a blessed day! I knew when I heard your comment about your daughter having a brain tumor, that I had to write and contact you. On Dec 2, 2008 I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma (benign brain tumor). Due to several circumstances in my life, it became evident and important to me to have my surgery before the end of the year (I am katherinelpc in the Pastor.com site and I am in the process of living my testimony right now! (Aren't we all and isn't it exciting?!?!) Suffice it to say that God heard the prayers of me and my many prayer warriors and my surgery is on Tuesday, 12/30/08 at 7:30 a.m ET. I ask your prayers for God to continue to reveal His purpose for me through this experience. I know that I know that I know He will heal me - of that I am certain. While I admit to a couple of pity-parties - - I have come to a new level with God because of a BRAIN TUMOR! WOW! I became a Life Purpose Coach through the Pathway to Purpose (by Katie Brazelton!) last year via Phyllis Alderman (Katie knows Phyllis from Hawaii). While it seems impossible to me right now - I believe that God will use me in a special way after and during my recovery. If I can get to California in April or May, I will pay you for an hour of your time for counsel. You see, I feel called to leave corporate America (where I have been for 30 years) and to go in to His ministry! My prayer is that God reveal that to me in a clear and concise way in the next few months during my recovery and end of a contract with the FDIC. Needed support in CT to band same sex married

Hello Rick, I am glad Obama has picked you to speak at his inauguration for President in January 2009.

Please accept my apology if I join your site under pretense, I am not a pastor nor a church goer. But I am a spiritual person and have my own belief system about life. One important issue I do agree with you is about resolving the Aids crisis and banning same sex marriage. from my point of view, it is not only immoral, unnatural, but a health hazard and out of balance with the natural law. Our Government in no way, shape or form should attempt to Promote, Its OK to be Gay, this is asking for trouble… this is why a cure for most deadly diseases have not been found because some human can't acknowledge they are imbalance with mother nature, and need help rather then accepting the imbalance as being nature.

I can go on, in fact I have created a Myspace, geared towards banding same sex marriage in CT, and MA, its never to late. My Main approach is through an intellectual process, and reasoning, with no holding back, letting the truth be none, rather than allowing the Media at large to continue to deceive Americans, including our new President, Bereck Obama, ,me as an African American, that its OK to be Gay! I speak from a none hate point of view but with zero support for the ill minded. check it out!

Anyway, I am seeking your advise on how to go about gathering support for my cause in CT, I know for a fact that the support is overwhelm here, but people need motivation to do the right thing. Even brilliant minded Barack will need to do some soul searching on the subject, after all I will say and do... CT Gov. Judy Rell, does not support gay marriage, but the people of CT will need to gather support to invest her with the power to overrule the Supreme Court Decision on Same Sex Marriage. VI am currently preparing a letter to the Ct Governor as to my future intentions to support a constitution amendment, and gather public votes to overrule the Supreme Court Decision on the subject manner.

Thanks for allowing God to use you and creating this site that many Christians from many denominations come and share. It is my prayer that God would knock down the wall of denominationalism and Christ's body would pass through this land. That we all would become Jesus in skin to those in need of Christ.

I also would like to say thank you to your wife for allowing you to minister as you do. Had she not been faithful to the call of God on her life to help you there wouldn't be the ministry as it is now. When a team sets out to serve and functions as Christ would have them it is blessed.

Hello Pastor, my name is Matthew Brown, and I am 17 years old. I have been a believer in Christ since i was young, but i just recently, at 15 years of age started my walk with Christ. While i have no clue what God's future plans are for myself, like most of us, I need help with a few things.

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and i attened Sonrise Community Church, (we recently did your series of 40 days of love) Because of your series, my girlfriend and I have stoped our sinning ways, and you have shown me new ways to love, like Jesus did. My girlfriend and i have devoted our lives to God and will follow whichever path he plans for us. But now for my question:

I struggle with all of the non-believers in my school. They constantly mock God and put me in bad situations. I have no clue of what to do. Ive tried to share God's love but i feel hopeless. I Realize that Jesus states that it is very hard for a Rich Man to get to heaven, but these people are my friends, and i love them, i do not want them to perrish. I live in Indian hill and attend Indian Hill High School. A rich town where alot of people think they are bigger than God...

How do i remind them They need Jesus. They describe me as the most religious kid in school, and i know myself, i am just as much a sinner as the rest of them. I just need advice of new ways to show them that God exists. The stretches for them are the stories of Noah's ark, and Adam and Eve. They do not believe that such a thing ever existed, and i reply to them asking Do you believe there is a God? and when they reply yes i state then do you believe that he could do anything to make the world the way he wants it. and Then they just mock God. and I dont know what to do.

I've been praying over this for a long time. My school needs to see the Love of God. please pray for my school, and tell me what you think i should do.

When he sits on the throne as king, he must copy these laws on a scroll for himself in the presence of the Levitical priests. He must always keep the copy of the law with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of this law. This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way.

It seems that pastors.com is just treading water. I realize nobody can force discussion and compel people to join, but it seems the previous version had better legs. Not a complaint, I'm getting what I am paying for, but more a question of how or when might this forum become what I suspect you have envisioned for it? Anything us little guys can do to help?
